Edna Karijo

Vice President

Ms. Edna Karijo was elected as the Vice President  of the Internet Society of Kenya. Ms. Edna Karijo is an award-winning Technologist, Public Policy and Program management professional, who has been championing Digital Inclusion for Youth in Kenya for the last decade.

Ms. Karijo’s professional work experience spans in the business and technology industry. She is an Associate Director at eMobilis and has also worked with digital skills initiatives including Digify Africa by Livity, (a South African Agency bridging the continent’s digital divide), Google’s Digital Skills for Africa Program, the Norwegian Refugee Council’s digital skills initiative and the Ajira Digital Program, (a Government Initiative of the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Digital Economy, implemented by eMobilis, KEPSA and supported by the Mastercard Foundation).

 

Ms. Karijo has won awards including the Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Program (PDTP) awards, a HerNetwork 2023 Honoree, a finalist of the Women in Tech Africa 2021 and she’s an Alumna of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) East Africa.
