Edna Karijo

Trustee

Ms. Edna Karijo was elected as a Board of Trustee Member of the Internet Society of Kenya. She is a Public Policy specialist, a Program Manager at eMobilis and a Champion for Digital/ICT Skills for Youth in Kenya. Ms. Karijo’s professional work experience spans in the business and technology industry. She has worked with digital skills initiatives including Digify Africa by Livity, (a South African Agency bridging the continent’s digital divide), Google’s Digital Skills for Africa Program, the Norwegian Refugee Council’s digital skills initiative and the Ajira Digital Program, (a Government Initiative of the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Digital Economy, implemented by eMobilis, KEPSA and supported by the Mastercard Foundation).

She is also an award-winning Mentor with the Presidential DigiTalent Program (PDTP), a finalist of the Women in Tech Africa Awards 2021 and an Alumna of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) East Africa Program. As a thought Leader and Mentor for women in STEM, she has spoken at conferences including the Young Women in Technology East Africa Summit, as well as a speaker at the Mentorship for Women in STEM.
